So having stated this it becomes critical to motivate employees. But do it it the right way in a fashion that is long-lasting. Unfortunately, the manner by which many businesses implement motivating employees is often done incorrectly.

If there ever was an absolutely awful way to lower employee burnout and it would be to use punishment as a tool of motivation. Consider the following scenario: an employer raises daily quotas for complete work by 25% and any employee who does not meet the quota will be docked pay.
